About the Lightroom Workshop

We cover all the most important aspects of digital workflow and portfolio management, from importing, sorting, managing and retouching to exporting images for print and online applications.

Retouch different types of image, from portraits, landscapes, architecture, etc.

  • A complete overview of the Lightroom interface – menus (top to bottom, left to right).

  • Importing, managing, sorting and finding your images.

  • Advanced workflow processes, i.e. smart collections, previews and backup processes.

  • Color Management.

  • Retouching: Portraits, Landscapes, Architecture

  • Creating striking Black and White images.

  • Creating and working with presets.

  • Managing your portfolio by using Lightroom’s smart tools.

  • Preparing your images for output: Printing, and social media.

  • Day 1 : Fri 19th of April 5pm-9pm

  • Day 2 : Sat 20th of April 3pm-7pm

  • Beginner to advanced photographers.

Requirements

  • You will need a computer or laptop using Mac or Windows with a working copy of Lightroom Classic CC..

  • Attendees should have basic computer skills and be able to navigate their desktop and file system, copy and paste, select files, etc..

Workshop Details:

This 2-day workshop will be an in-depth of post-processing for digital image exposure blending. You will be expected to acquire the following skills:

  • What are Luminosity masks and how to create them?
  • How to blend multiple exposures to create a balanced, sharp image.
  • How to create advanced selections using adjustment layers.
  • How to create targeted local contrast.
  • How to add / subtract / intersect channels to make precise luminosity selections.
  • How to use a non-destructive workflow.
  • How to prepare Images in Adobe Camera Raw.
  • How to fix barrel distortion & converging verticals
  • How to remove noise non-destructively.
  • Quick and accurate selective adjustment layers.
  • How to accurately target areas for sharpening while avoiding areas prone to noise.
  • How to pull details out of targeted areas.
  • How to make advanced selections based on colors.
  • How to make precise selections for selective saturation adjustments.
  • How to create panoramas.

Note: Participants must bring their own laptop loaded with Photoshop CC.
